Current Issues:
The NWWP received a report from an owner that all their sheep were attacked and killed during the Labor Day weekend between 9/3/2022 - 9/4/2022 at their fenced property on Palaai St (between Paahana St and Puko St). The sheep were in the back of their property which is not visible from the road. The sheep appear to have been killed by loose hunting dogs. The owner has asked to inform the neighborhood to protect their animals and to see if anyone witnessed any dogs in the area that were covered in blood. This is the second time this has happened on their fenced property, with the first being on 3/26/2021. With this second attack, they have now lost 10 sheep and 4 were lambs. The owner is concerned that this will continue to happen and could possibly happen to people or kids if there are dangerous dogs in the neighborhood. Once a dog has the taste of blood from an attack, it will likely do it again. Please contact us at keaauaglots@gmail.com if anyone witnessed this incident or has seen dogs covered in blood around the neighborhood during the Labor Day weekend.

There have been reports of a few individuals driving recklessly and speeding through the neighborhood on dirt bikes, mopeds, and ATV's. HPD wants everyone to understand that regardless of the vehicle's type, operating them recklessly is dangerous and a violation of HRS 291-2 "Reckless Driving". Speeding jeopardizes the Safety of residents and everyone who uses our roads. We can all do our part by reporting these issues, being a good witness, and being the eyes and ears for HPD so they can keep our roads and neighborhood Safe.
